Crowning World Cup Champions in Tulsa

In the early hours of the night, UCI sent out the word:  

"The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that the events in Papendal (Netherlands), which should  have closed the 2024 edition of the UCI BMX Racing World Cup on June 22 and 23, have been cancelled.

Due to this cancellation, the winners of the 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Cup will be crowned in Tulsa,  Oklahoma (USA) on 28 April, after six rounds..."

While the Papendal racing will be missed by riders and fans in 2024, the news brings extra excitement to Rounds 5&6 in Tulsa, OK. Crowning Champions in Tulsa has been a tradition in BMX for decades; now, we take it up a notch as Tulsa, OK, is proud to crown four more champions.

As an important step towards the Paris Olympic Games, Tulsa's World Cup is ready to bring packed stands and an electric atmosphere as racers battle on the track. With the Chilibowl, Tulsa Tough, and the USA BMX Grand National, Tulsa's racing roots are excited to see the best in the world experience their city and the USA BMX National Headquarters.

2024 UCI BMX Racing World Cup: cancellation of the two Papendal rounds 

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that the events in Papendal (Netherlands), which should  have closed the 2024 edition of the UCI BMX Racing World Cup on June 22 and 23, have been cancelled.  

Due to this cancellation, the winners of the 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Cup will be crowned in Tulsa,  Oklahoma (USA) on 28 April, after six rounds.  

The 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Championships will take place in the same country, in Rock Hill, South  Carolina, from 12 to 18 May. 

The UCI looks forward to returning to Papendal – a long-time host of UCI BMX Racing World Cup rounds, and  venue of the UCI BMX Racing World Championships in 2021 – from 2025 for future editions of the discipline's  flagship series.  

2024 UCI BMX Racing World Cup calendar: 

• Rounds 1 and 2: February 10 and 11, Rotorua (New Zealand) 

• Rounds 3 and 4: February 24 and 25, Brisbane (Australia) 

• Rounds 5 and 6: April 27 and 28, Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA).
