Chaos, Speed, and Some of the Best Racing Yet: Day Three at Worlds

Day three of the World Challenge Championships brought fierce battles and electric energy to Brisbane, as U.S. and Canadian riders squared off against the rest of the globe in the 12-to-15-year-old Challenge classes.

Logan Lee Climbs to the Top for Canada

Leading things off, Logan Lee became the first Canadian rider to climb to the top of a Challenge podium this week, and she made it look easy. The 14 Girls class was stacked with talent, but make no mistake — Logan Lee was simply the fastest rider on the track all day.

Lining up in the same gate was USA's Chase Burian, who spent much of the day buried in the pack. Then the chaos hit. When the dust settled, Burian had fought her way back onto the podium, repeating her 4th-place finish from Worlds.

Sequoia Gomolicke Never Looks Back

Joining Logan Lee in the day's dominant performances, Sequoia Gomolicke wasted no time getting to the front — leading from the very first round all the way through her World Championship main event. The U.S. locked up two more spots on the box, with Jemma Tollefson rounding out the podium in third. Once again, American speed proved itself when it mattered most: on the World Championship stage.

The Racing Just Keeps Getting Better

Days one and two brought plenty of highlights of their own, but day three might have been the best racing we've seen all week. Packs of five riders battled for the final transfer spot into the next round, and every main event was an all-out fight to the line. The depth of talent in BMX racing right now is staggering — and somehow, it's only expected to get better as the week goes on.

Whether you're a die-hard USA-and-Canada fan or just a lover of good, hard racing, you won't want to miss the final day of the World Challenge Championships, as 16-and-up through Masters take to the track in Brisbane.
