Built for the Perfect Launch

Supercross Vision F1x: Formula 1 Carbon Meets the BMX Gate

Supercross BMX has taken its championship-proven Vision F1 frame and pushed it even further with the new Vision F1x—a material upgrade aimed squarely at maximizing power out of the gate.

While the geometry remains the same as the race-winning Vision F1, the big change is in the carbon. The F1x is built using a proprietary blend of Toray M40x and M46x prepreg carbon fiber, materials commonly found in Formula 1 chassis and aerospace engineering. The advanced Torayca MX Series fibers allow the frame to be both stiffer and stronger, solving the classic carbon trade-off between rigidity and durability.

On the track, that translates to improved energy transfer during the start. The reinforced carbon structure resists lateral flex, sending more of the rider’s power straight to the rear wheel—something Supercross calls “The Launch.”

Elite riders like Kye Whyte and Oli Moran have already been testing the frame and report a noticeably quicker, more responsive feel out of the gate.

After capturing their eighth Bike of the Year award at the USA BMX Grand National, the Vision F1x follows a milestone year for Supercross. The new frame continues the brand’s long-standing mission: to eliminate flex, maximize speed, and keep pushing BMX race technology forward.
