USA BMX and Monster Army Announce 2026 Freestyle Series

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

USA BMX and Monster Army Announce 2026 Freestyle Series: A Premier BMX Festival Experience

TULSA, OK – USA BMX Freestyle, in partnership with the Monster Army Recon Tour, is proud to unveil the 2026 competitive season, reimagined as a comprehensive BMX Festival experience. Moving beyond the traditional contest format, the 2026 series is designed to celebrate the culture of freestyle, providing a high-octane environment where “a single weekend serves everyone” from first-time youth riders to Olympic Elites.

The Festival Weekend Format

The 2026 tour transforms iconic bike parks into festival hubs. Saturdays are headlined by the Monster Army Recon Series, featuring the raw energy and progression that defines the Monster Army brand. Sunday's transition into the USA BMX National Series, focusing on the deep-rooted community of national points-chasing across all age groups.

Unified Competition Pipeline

A key pillar of this year’s festival is the seamless integration of rankings. The Recon Sport Class (Ages 13-25) serves as the ultimate bridge; results from Saturday’s Monster Army Recon Series will officially count toward the USA BMX Year-End National Rankings.

Comprehensive Class Offerings

The festival atmosphere is built on inclusivity, offering a competitive home for every rider:

Looking Ahead: The Digital Series

In late Spring 2026, USA BMX will officially announce the return of the USA BMX Freestyle Digital Series. This virtual festival component will be reformulated into a "Winner-Take-All" showdown, with the digital event occurring in the Fall of 2026, allowing riders to showcase their best clips on a global stage.

A Celebration of Freestyle Culture

"We wanted to move away from the 'check-in, compete, leave' model and create a true festival environment," said Christopher Stumbles of Monster Army. "By pairing the Monster Army Recon Tour with the USA BMX National Series, we are creating a weekend where the next generation can hang out with the pros they see on TV, and the pros can see the incredible talent coming up through the ranks. It’s about the vibes and the shared passion for two wheels."
