The stands were buzzing, riders were locked in, and screens around the world lit up—it’s officially race week in Copenhagen for the 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Championships. The Danish capital has become the heartbeat of the BMX world, drawing fans, teams, and competitors from across the globe, all chasing one goal: A World Title.
Kicking off a week loaded with world title showdowns, 11 Cruiser classes took center stage. From defending champions to first-time Worlds contenders, each rider lined up under the same gate, all eyes locked on the same prize. The journey to the podium began in the chaotic energy of the motos, where national pride met pure racing grit. With decades of tradition and generations of talent represented on the gate, the opening day delivered a powerful preview of the intensity to come.

One of our favorite moments of the day came early, courtesy of the massive triple into Turn One. While many riders played it safe, Team USA’s Cutter Godaire set the tone by sending it big in Round 1—unlocking the jump for the rest of the field. Godaire carried that momentum into the 15–16 Cruiser final, where he joined teammates Danny Waters and Taylor Koll in the gate. A scorching first straight and a fearless third straight send gave Godaire the edge he needed to secure his spot at the front of the pack.
From Australia’s Jaxson Hill lighting it up in 13–14 Cruiser to the Netherlands’ Kevin Elbers powering through in 25–29 Cruiser, Day One of Worlds delivered on every level. As the dust settles on the first day of racing, Copenhagen is fully dialed in for a week of unforgettable BMX action.
